Since its inception in 1997, the Charitable Endowment Tax Credit has helped generate more than $130 million in planned giving in Montana. This is a significant tool for philanthropy in Montana.
The credit was last renewed in 2007, and it is due to expire in 2013. Right now a coalition of supporters is working on getting the credit renewed. Senator Taylor Brown, District 22, is sponsoring the bill for renewal. Check it out here.
